Dresses & overalls (3)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

Let’s just be honest – I wish I was a dress-wearer, but I’m just not<\/em><\/strong>.<\/em> A lot of my friends wear dresses all the time, and somehow pull off the casual, not-even-trying-but-still-look-girly-and-adorable style so easily. It’s just not what I’m comfortable in! But these two dresses are casual and fit my style well, so I wanna try and integrate them into my day-to-day wear. We’ll see if I become a regular dress-wearer yet!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now about these overalls:<\/strong> I have mixed emotions. They were SO cute when I found them at Forever 21 and I couldn’t pass them up! But they have a baggy “boyfriend jean” style and make my legs look kinda short. I decided to include them in my capsule wardrobe to give them another chance, so we’ll see how much wear they get! If I don’t like them I’ll definitely be on the hunt for a more perfect pair of overalls in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outerwear (2)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

I put most of my warmer clothes away for the season, but I kept a couple of jackets & sweaters out for when it’s still cool outside. My denim jacket didn’t get much wear during winter because it’s smaller and doesn’t layer well over long sleeves. But it’s perfect with short sleeves, so I can enjoy it a lot more during spring! And of course, my trusty cardigan – it’s so cozy and simple and goes with everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shoes (7)<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

As far as shoes go, I’m keeping it pretty casual like everything else. I love my Chacos and (fake) Birks for everyday, and my gladiator sandals for when I want to dress it up a little more. I also have a pair of pointed flats, which I bought for work, but I think they’re also great for every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Converse and Sperrys are my go-to’s when it comes to closed-toed shoes. My Sperrys are old and a little beat up, but they’re one of the comfiest pairs of shoes I’ve ever owned! I mostly wear my Nikes for working out, but I also like to throw them on when I’m just running errands or will be on my feet a lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few exceptions<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

There’s a few things I didn’t include in my capsule because they’re rarely needed, but I might still wear for specific occasions: rain boots, heels\/wedges (which basically don’t see the light of day unless I have some fancy interview or wedding to attend), and clothes I only wear to work (khakis, black slacks, a black cardigan, black flats… boring stuff). I do have a lot of friends getting married this spring and summer, so there’s a chance I’ll pull out some other dressier dresses or maybe even go shopping for something new to wear. We’ll see!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
